company of SNN at the Radboud University of Nijmegen.

SMART Research BV has been founded in 1998 as a Spin-off company of SNN in order to further develop and commercialize JED, a product initially developed by SNN for De Telegraaf, a Dutch publisher of newspapers and magazines. Since then, we apply neural networks, machine learning and related techniques to a wide variety of domains, as explained elsewhere on this site. SMART and SNN are still closely related.
All our researchers have positions at SNN Nijmegen and/or the Radboud University Nijmegen. This provides us a connection to the international academic research community and keeps us up to date with the latest developments.

SNN Nijmegen is an academic research group at the Radboud University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, where it is part of the Donders Institute for Neuroscience. SNN Nijmegen performs research in machine learning, neural networks, Bayesian networks and related techniques.
SNN Nijmegen forms the headquarters of SNN (Stichting Neurale Netwerken), the Dutch Foundation for Neural Networks, a national network of research groups on neural networks and affiliated techniques. SNN Nijmegen is part of the European network of Excellence Pascal and of the ICIS consortium. SNN has founded two spin-off companies: Smart Research BV and Promedas BV.
